This has reduced the price of their $25 Dining Certificates to just $4 for most restaurants and areas. Fine print applies for many of the certificates, such as minimum 4 entrees, etc.

does anyone know of a good place in NYC that I can use these?

If you do buy these, make sure you use them right away. I've had two restaurants close after I bought their coupons. They get accepted just fine, but just don't sit on the coupon for months.

Our thriving economy, #2! Good to hear they are accepted though, might buy a few for gifts.

They need to add more restaurants in my area. These would be great if I could actually use them.

I bought one of these a few years ago and have still not used it. Its somewhere in a drawer. I think I will just become a donor.

#2 Good advice. I bought 4 for a local pizza place. I used two and then the place closed. Restaurant.com is good about allowing you to switch the certificates for another restaurant in your area if this happens.

I buy these every once in a while. But somehow I always feel like I'm getting screwed at the end. You buy a $25 off a $35 meal, you think it'll only be like $15-20 tops. But, for some reason, its always a $30 or above final check. Add in the $3-4 for the coupon and you're at almost $35. Still not bad, but always seems like you'll save more.

yeah, definitely read the fine print... and they're not so good for gifts because you just print out the coupon... it's a pretty tacky thing to give to someone for a present...

Just bought some of these when they were $2 a week ago. Used one over the weekend and it was accepted.

you get the certificate and go into the restaurant only to find out you are the only one in the restaurant. Feels scarely. Will they eat me first before I get to eat mine?

Lots of places around me sell out so fast. It's like they only have 1 to sale.

Depends on where you live. Here in Milwaukee some nice places. Also, it depends on the restaurant as to what the minimums are required. Every place I bought them for only had a the basics like $35 minimum purchase, dine in, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary. Also, as somebody else said, I guess if the place you have a certificate for goes out of business you get to swap it for somewhere else. Very good deal.

I've come close to pulling the trigger on this deal in the past - but there aren't enough restaurants in my area participating. Maybe I should move.
