Can you download the latest maps for free with these refurbs? I'm thinking not because the serial was probably already registered.

#3 - looks like that free update is for the unit software and not maps

I've bought it from Amazon a couple of weeks ago. The unit came with 2009 maps, and it works great.
(Haven't tried the FM yet, thought)

I have 660 and love it. Bluetooth works great with the phone. FM traffic function works well around the city. MSN supposed to have more than traffic information.

will it work without MSN?

With free ground shipping, you can get it to your door in 3 days by email them and tell them you want to cancel the order. At this current time, they affraid of any canceled order.

No the traffic updates wont work without MSN subscription.. But if you do subscribe I think the more pricey one time payment is pretty nice.

Yah, I'm convinced that the "refurb" designation is a transparent lie, designed to force you to separately buy the map updates, which tend to be absurdly expensive (north of $60).
