8 Sheet Capacity Diamond-Cut ShredderOfficeMax.com has the 8-Sheet Capacity Diamond-Cut Shredder with Translucent Basket for $35, with free shipping on $50 orders. The entire basket is see-through, not like the stupid little window on most weak shredders.

These things are nice, but its worth it to get something more industrial.

For use at home shredding mail, this is perfect; unless you are covering up some kind of watergate-like scandal

This'll do the job fine, just don't overload it and don't run it for more than an few minutes at a time continuously before letting it cool down some (typical with all lower-end consumer shredders).

I got one a couple weeks ago at this price. It has a fairly quiet motor for such a cheap shredder. There are safety switches on the bottom so it won't run unless it is seated on the provided basket, so you can't use it on some other basket.

I got a 5 sheet capacity one before. It worked with actually 7 or 8 sheets and credit cards in the middle part. Once I put a couple of junk mails inside without noticing there was a credit card in one of the mails but it was not placed in the middle, the machine got stuck and died ever since, pity.

good for everyday home use...but not good if you like to stock up on all those mails and decided to shred them all in one sitting
