Only 15 dollars...this is ridiculous. Man these things have come down in price. Or you could get the 16gb Corsair for 25 at buy.com...

Traditionally this model of Kingston drives has been slower than contemporary brands / competing models at the same price point. IOW, no reason to buy one unless you really dig the design of the casing. It is a reasonably sturdy case for being a two piece clamshell type design, but that also makes it more susceptible to very long dry-out times (several days to be on the safe side) if you get it wet.

Losable cap? I've had a Kingston flash drive with this cap design for a couple of years. I keep it on my key chain and it sees plenty of abuse. Haven't lost the cap yet.

i always just threw the cap away. that way i wouldn't lose it

or throw the thumbdrive itself away so you have an extra cap

Anyone know if this is supported by the vast # of dvd players with usb ports? I know some usb drives appear as unknown devices.

i've used the 2GB version on my phillips w/no problems.

Nice slim case that won't hog up the adjacent USB ports like the Corsair does. No rebate is nice, too.

Still, I'd wait for BF deals at this point.

too bad 2GB drives don't follow price per GB... would be nice to pick up some $3.75 2GB drives Razz

#6 I've used the 4GB version on a Philips DVP5982 and it mostly works. Occasional stuttering on high-bitrate scenes, but I think this is a problem with the USB port on this player.

this design, the cap fits and snaps to the rear so you won't loose it.
