People are missing the point: emergency lights are used for 2 minutes while you find the matches to light a candle. They aren't meant to take you into deep sea caves looking for Obama gun policy...

Was this what Ted Nugent was singing about when he sang "Yank me, crank me, but don't wake up and thank me" ??

I had a similar flashlight for my youngest son to use at night when I put him to bed. It was well worth the 10 bucks i put out for it. He could just wind it up and was good to go. No need to worry about turning off the light and not wasting batteries.

I have a couple of these and 1 minute of cranking and the flashlight lasts for 30 minutes. I hadn't used one for several months, picked it up and it was still charged up. It looks just like the one in the picture.

Every household should have one. They save money in the long run on batteries alone.
