This a good deal? I was leaning towards an intel quad core processor and a better video card.

Bad deal; sub-par computer that use the blu-ray player to drive up price.
Replace blu-ray with DVD+RW and dripe the price to $350 would make this an ok deal.

The TV tuners are hardware based encoding so it takes the load off the CPU. The form factor is right. when you lay it on side, it is no bigger than vcr or dvd footprint. the size was worth this unit for me. Multitasking is no problem for this thing. I archive dvd to my library, record two tv channels at same time and can surf the net without feel any perf degrading experiences.
Obviously not a gaming ideal environment, but as a media center i think this is a great option.
I had looked at the Dell Studio slim as my alternative for size.
