I have two pavilions(dv4000 and dv6000), I bought the second because the video went out on the first. I thought it was overheating, both of mine get quite hot. HP has recently admitted that there is a bios problem. I have to call them tomorrow to see if the new extended warranty they are offering to fix the bios problem will cover fixing the first. If you buy one of these, get a under laptop fan often listed on Ben's.
