This "deal" is actually incorrect. HP will not let you combine two different discounts, and the starting price of $695 is with a $120 instant rebate. If you use Ben's $250 coupon, you have to give up the $120 rebate, so the computer he describes would end up costing $675 rather than $555 like Ben claims.

I bought a dv6500 and tried to get a educator discount and the current 33% off a year ago and they would not stack them, even though the educator was only 5%.

Carefull with deal like this. The website shows $150 instant rebate already. If you put in the coupon code it goes replace the $150 with the $250 so you are only getting an extra $100 off what it was before. Really put a crimp in my buying the other day. Still on OK deal but not what i was hoping.
