Yikes! A double whammy: AT&T and Wirefly. Don't sign up until you read Consumer Reports and check out Wirefly's Better Business Bureau file:

The Samsung Eternity is way better. You have to pay $149 for it but it is worth it!

I also wanted to add, the iPhone SUCKS. You can't tether (use the phone as a modem for a computer), there is no stereo bluetooth, SMS problems, proprietary software, no 3.5 MM jack.. The list goes on and on. The Samsung Eternity has EVERYTHING that the iPhone doesn't... heck, even this VU has more than the iPhone. Another benefit is you don't have to subscribe to the $30 data package with the VU or Eternity but you DO have to on the iPhone. That's a lot of $ extra adding up over 2 years for the same services on a different phone. Knowing what I know, you've got to be a moron to get the iPhone. The VU and Eternity are ATT's best all around phones for entertainment and some of the best for usability.

I have one of these and prefer to call it the "Sarah Palin" phone. She is great to touch and play with...but when it comes to functionality..bacon rather falls short of expectation. Do check if you have mobile tv in your area...else you will end up wondering what is the addtnl. 15$ charge for?

lol I hate 3rd party activations. Usually there's a scheme, used to work for sprint/nextel, always had people complain about their bills from 3rd party vendors.

#8, you can use internet/data with the $15/mo charge... it is not just for mobile TV..

No, No. 7, I don't know anyone who's used Wirefly, but consumer groups warn that one should be very careful when dealing with a third-party vendor like this. I gather the main risk is that you also sign a contract with them, which could mean additional penalties for early cancellation or could cause complications when making changes to your service.
Sounds like it's wiser to negotiate directly with your cell provider. But if you don't want to do that, I'd look for another third-party vendor, as the Better Business Bureau has given Wirefly an unsatisfactory rating.
