Who has one of these in their laptop, and how does it perform? Is the write lag really that noticable? Thanx.

Most reports say that there are noticeable stutters on small random writes. But compared to most 5400rpm laptop drives, this is still much faster overall.

According to the review there is not much difference in performance; at least not one making it worth the higher price.

These things are way cheaper to make... why are they still so expensive?

i'll wait till these things drop closer to regular hard drive prices to experiment. till then, i'll stick to my 7200 rpm drives.
