Last week, Newegg had the 320GB 7200RPM barebone HD for $87.

That's the best deal!!!

There will be a Maxtor 250GB for $60 and a Verbatim 320GB for $90 on BF somewhere.

Or you can get a bare drive of Hitachi Travelstar SATA 320GB for $70 shipped from Zipzoomfly.com today. But nice looking enclosures are rather expensive.

Great manufacturer. Wait until it gets cheaper. Price will drop $40 before long.

these drives are great...prices may drop though..but this is a good price anyhow

#6 the $100 drive is larger and also needs to be plugged into a wall socket, this drive is USB powered -so you only need one cord from your computer. So depends if you ever would like to move it and use it on the go.

These look nice, but I've never had too much luck with WD drives. However that experience was all with 3.5" drives, perhaps the 2.5" drives are better?

does anyone know if you have to push the button for this to turn on or does it turn on when power is supplied through the usb? I want to hook one up to my ps3, and have it turn on and off with via the usb.

Sweet price! I just bought a 250GB 2.5" external for $120 not so long ago.. Sad

powered by USB, no power cord required.

Decent price unless youre waking up at 4am for BF.

Worth buying now for convenience.

I bought the 250gb at Frys for $89 4 weeks ago. I've used it for a photoshoot over the last 4 weeks. It's worked great. Watch out about the autosynch software. Nice drive. Fits in a briefcase easily.
