Got mine today, takes a bit to get use to it. overall great phone, and I can swap out memory cards and use a spare battery, try that with an iphone.....
The typing is not bad at all, its strange at first but I have gotten faster as the day goes on.

They're only cheap because they're crippled and overrated. Wow, a touch screen phone that clicks when you touch it. Too bad I could do that with my 8125 3 years ago.
Gotta love marketing.

at least with this phone, you can change the batteries unlike the Iphone.

Too bad I was the first one to get one this morning, only to be told the system to activate it is down. I've been waiting for EIGHT hours and apparently Verizon's entire activation system is up and down across the country with everyone trying to get these going. I'm beyond pissed. This blows.

Cnet says phone is dual-mode, CDMA & GSM, though not domestic GSM. Guess ok to use in Europe or Asia. oops, didn't see post #24.

The other carriers always have better choice of better phones.
Then again, the other carriers have an inferior network.
So you pays your money and takes your choice.

I don't understand the lack of WiFi. It's just asinine. So many cities are blanketed in WiFi and so many hotspots and businesses and homes have WiFi now - why would you not include it? A decent internet connection is going to destroy 3G in speed tests and why wouldn't you want the speed when you can get it? Besides, not all cities have 3G coverage yet.
Not to mention, most WiFi chipsets are lower power consumption than 3G chipsets so it improves battery life.
I use my iPhone quite regularly to troubleshoot on-site wireless problems, I can tether to computers via WiFi to surf with the cellular network, I can interact with network machines...
Stupid decisions. Put a damn WiFi chip in there.

If you want this phone, great. But I'd suggest trying to work out a deal directly with Verizon instead of going through Wirefly. In the past 10 weeks, they've racked up 104 complaints with the Better Business Bureau. Check out their record before proceeding:

#37 The sales people all say you must have the data plan, but I would call customer service and find out for sure. I found the sales teams don't know very much. I was able to cancel my data plan on my Treo and have them block it so I wouldn't get charged by accidentally opening up the browser.
