Not too shabby of a price, especially for a Dell. Remember this is the budget line, so it will be a TN panel, but if that isn't a problem for you, then this is a good deal.

Cheap for a 22-inch, but if you're not getting Dell's Ultrasharp line then you shouldn't expect too much from this budget monitor.

I run multiple Dell monitors where 2 are Ultrasharps and 1 is a 20" version of this monitor. It is true, I can tell the quality difference of the panels. The non-ultrasharp is usable, but just appears grainy or fuzzy compared to the Ultrasharps.

Who supplies Dell with their LCD monitor technology? Is this just another brand with Dells logo?

I normally agree with this sentiment, but some people don't have the extra money.

TN (Twisted Nematic)panels are budget panels that have gotten a bad rap. They are not nearly as good as IPS panels or VA panels, but some people only care about gaming, and need a cheap big monitor. The TN panel is perfect for this.

got one of these a few days ago as the second in an identical dual-monitor setup. The new one has a VERY different picture than the old (purchased earlier this year)... the old one is crisp, the new one is a bit blurry and has a redish tint. They are identical, although the older one has a "LCD Conditioning" menu option in the OSD, and the new one does not.

Not sure if it's the case with this monitor, but sometimes the manufacture(s) will change their supplier for the TN panel.

Good deal to set you up with a dual monitor system... but as others have said, the ultrasharps are really great monitors. I have a 20 inch ultrasharp and it is really an amazing monitor.

Have several of these at work. Good for general use, but look for something better if you use photoshop alot.
