I selected Paypal as my payment option and then put the promo code in after that. It then gave me the $25 discount. It would be even better if shipping was free, but not on the video games I ordered.

Turns out you have to check out -- Google checkout is an option in the cart, but PayPal isn't offered until you put in a billing and shipping address.

If you enter the code and press "apply coupon", it won't take it. You have to enter the code, select paypal and click next. Then it accepts it and the $25 shows up in the summary.

However, all is not well. When I clicked the final payment button, which takes you to paypal to enter your credentials, it says

We're sorry. PayPal® is not available at this time. Please try again or select a different payment option.

This was at 9:06 central time.

add the items to your cart, click checkout, fill out the billing address, click continue, choose paypal as the payment option and click continue, then on that page put in the coupon code for paypal25. Doesn't look like this can be combined with the free shipping special, and shipping is about $10, tax for me was $5 so this code really only saves about $10.

As #7 said, and it took me a few minutes to work out that sequence, and then it wasn't much of a deal with their high starting prices, plus shipping and tax. So phoooey.

No problem. I was hoping it would. I don't know if it was a coincidence, but I clicked on the 'details' next to the Paypal discount offer in my shopping cart before it finally worked.

Took 4 tries at checkout to actually get the Paypal login to actually come up.

Successfully placed my order around 1:15 pm EST. About 30 minutes later, received an email from Toys R Us informing that my order had been canceled.

Called Toys R Us CS to find out what gives, CS rep informs me that it was a PayPal authorization failure and that they've been experiencing non-stop issues with PayPal payments all day. He then advised me to place my order again and choose a diff payment method. When I informed him that PayPal was providing $25 coupon, he advised that they are no longer honoring.

This SUX! Am I the only one this happened to?!?!

Nope I am getting offer has expired, although supposed to be good until 11/29?

I couldn't get it to work. I called Toys R Us and they blamed PayPal so I called PayPal and they blamed Toys R Us. They both told me to try again later. <shrug> I will try again, cuz I'm kinda cheap...lol. BS that we're getting the run around. It's so typical of Black Friday shopping!
