Useful if you plan to build your own desktop, and a little goes a long way. I still have half a tube of the older version that's been sitting in a box for the last couple years.

Cheap enough for the slightly better thermal conductivity, but having a good heatsink is more important.

Is this stuff better than the paste that comes with most heat sinks?

Typically, yes it is better. However YMMV.

def one of the better thermal pastes out there. you just have to make sure you apply it evenly

Overrated. Suckers.

Definitely worth the few bucks--it's a great product for that after-market heat sink.

Suckered out of $5? I think not, #8. This stuff is DEFINITELY worth it. If you don't already have some, I'd recommend a tube.

It's a nice product. Though, if you already got some, don't really need to buy it. It's not a deal as it comes up from time to time around this price.

What is this made out of? Is it safe?

not buying it. I never put computers together any longer.

love it. i've had the same tube for 5 years and it's still as good as the day i bought it.

#8 has no idea. don't expect huge results but this stuff will make a few degree difference.
#17   zippy2 - Posted 7:06 pm PST 11/28/08 (176 Posts)
Hmmm. Heat sink. So that's what this thing's for.
#18   mitda - Posted 7:10 pm PST 11/28/08 (880 Posts)
#10, I was already suckered and bought it a year ago, but not again. This stuff makes no difference compared to the cheapest thermal paste out there. No, not even a "few degree" difference. And if you think a few degrees is significant, then you're a sucker on that count as well. And yes, I used it correctly.

#12 - stop asking everyone if this is a good dildo everytime this deal gets posted.
