surprised they aren't giving these away with every book purchase? I wouldn't waste my money on these at all. HD-DVD was inferior, thats why it failed. The player took forever to load the movie, which made me lose interest in watching the movie by the time it did start.

I like the idea of HD-DVD - Use a worthwhile video decoder to get by with lower density disks. I understand Blue-Ray is more sensitive to scratches, the only thing that makes it possible is the use of expensive hard coatings on the disk.

The Ultimate Matrix Collection [HD] $109.99

    I wouldn't call that a good price.

During the format war, the HD camp had a much better product then BluRay. However, what they didn't have was Sony (who had a major jones to not loose another format war) and Sony's bank account, which made most of the difference. If Sony didn't bribe several of the major movie studios, we would still have the format war raging today.

#13 - you must have not seen many HD-DVDs.. they were crap. They didnt look much better than the regular DVD versions.
It was a flawed concept, thats why it failed. There wasnt any quality control on the HD-DVD side.. they just put out shit and priced it at $30. The blu rays i have look way better than any of the HD-DVD stuff i have.

#13: In what was was HD DVD better? They just pushed it because it could be made on the same equipment as DVDs, could be made for a lower price, but they could still charge lots more for it.

Blu-Ray can hold 10gb more data, and it's more scratch-resistant. On the studio side, there were more copyright protection. I couldn't understand why there was even a war at all.

Phatboy...have you heard of "the internet"?

#16, i saw the 360 hd drive for $30 a couple days ago. I don't recommend it, but if you want cheap movies and have a 360 it's not a bad idea.

"nobody buys HD dvd now....waste of money...besides you cant get HD dvd player anywhere "

And yet you could see them on this very site within recent days. If you want to build a cheap small HD library, it's still a good way to go. The "Bluray" tax on their discs is still generally too much.

    Their site is pretty unreliable.

After step 5, review order, I clicked the order button, and received message as following.

"We're sorry. This feature is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."

I hard workerand clicked it again to get "thank you for your order" page. I hope they won't process my card twice; and send me same stuffs twice.
