if you got green to blow, why don't you buy a Blu-ray player that will produce HD movies for future?

Girls Gone Wild... essential? heehee
Isn't that crap usually $10 on late night TV anyway? Not that I've ever ordered any.

As #13 said, Sony was the deciding factor. They took their lumps with Betamax and would not loose face again. Beta was better than VHS and lost the format war. What irony that in the BR-HDDVD war the same thing happened.

#20, I had a similar problem, here's hoping we don't get double charged

The Sopranos: Season Six and Heroes Season 1 for under $10 per set... Not bad.

And HD-DVD players are on ebay for around $65.

But it is a dying format... Sort of like buying a cassette deck and some cassettes.

If you wait long enough, those xbox360 HD DVD drives might start appearing on ebay for cheap $$$.

I would have thought the price would be lower. They're going to be stuck w/ this inventory for a while.

Ah, but HD is the supri-eor format. You know because it has a break-in process.

I think it's finally time to jump on the HD-DVD bandwagon.

Same resolution as Blu-Ray, but 1/8th the price... I'm in.

Picked up the whole Planet Earth series for under $10!

HD DVD is in the past. Only buy for the future. BlueRay will not be around much longer either.

Girls Gone Wild? Why bother? If you want the full on action, buy the discs. Don't go halfway with checking out drunk sorority chick handy cam.

LOL $10 HD-DVD when you can get superior Bluray for half price.
