The WD black series is $20 more in 1TB size than the standard type listed in the cyber monday deal. Noisy but considerably more reliable if using 24/7 in a fileserver or in cooling limited external hard drive enclosure. Item number N82E16822136284.

#6 - I had an AOC several years ago that lasted me a long time; never had a problem with it at all until during one of my moves when I messed up one of the pins on the connector. I don't know how they are nowadays, but back then they were a pretty good value brand.
