I had one of these in my car and it fell apart on me just from riding around in the glove compartment... guess you get what you pay for

These are fun to let the kids have. Even with the 9 LEDs the batteries last a while and kids can beat them up. No worries if they get broken as they didn't cost much to begin with.

Any input on how bright they are? I guess for the price it doesn't matter too much.

Super bright. woo.

Would be nicer if I could rely on them to not fall apart if I just stuck them in the glove compartment. And somehow I'm not convinced when they put "superbright" in the name.

Never buy an LED flashlight that does not specify the amount of light given out. LED's vary widely in the amount of light output so you can't just go by the number of LED's.

That being said, LED's have a fantasticly long lifespan: Typically 50,000 hour 1/2 life. Just look at the LED's on computers as an example ...

I bought these two years ago and they are poor quality because they are simply press fitted together and fall apart easily.

Get the much better quality set of 2 Husky Brand (Home Depot's house brand) LED flashlights at Home Depot online or B&M for $4.97:

http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100652638

Lifetime warranty if you save the receipt.

Quality aside, this isn't such a bad price. You won't be likely to find a better price, except for liquidator sites (like woot, thingfling, yugster, etc)

Junk stuff. Like they sell in 99 cent stores.

These are good flashlights. I got a couple of these for emergency situations. Keep one in my car, keep one in my backpack. Very small and illuminate well. Great deal.

i have the 3 pack. one for my room, one for the car glove box, & one for the niece & nephew to play with when they come over. the sad thing is they were lookin for my cat under my bed & left their flashlight on. I found it under the bed the day after they left. they must have left it under there when I yelled, get outta my room! one down 2 to go. they're pretty bright. hopefully the others will last a lot longer!
