Wow...these little flash drives are getting more and more capacity for less money. Pretty soon we'll be carrying 1TB in the palm of our hand...wouldn't that be cool =)

I would consider if it wasn't after rebate.

#1, I would prefer not to carry anything.. everything will be online and we have access to the net everywhere.

This is just an ok deal. There have been several 16gb for $20 lately.

POS mail-in rebates kill any deal.

I hate giving companies short term loans with my hard-earned cash without sharing in the returns on the investment.

I hate how much effort it takes to get them to remember that they owe me the rebate.

That's not a bad price at all! I just got one for $12 after rebate though. Unfortunately, that deal expired.

Not all Flash Drives are the same... some are way faster than others. This one will write faster than others, since it is Dual Channel. I have an 8gb drive that writes slower than hell, drives me nuts to put anything on there at times... yeah, i got it for a deal and its brand name, but its still slow.
I know i need something with fast read and write speeds... not sure about everyone else on here.

#8 - we got it already.. you are so redundant... worse than Sarah Palin going on and on about nothing.. saying the same thing and people get glazed over reading your rant.

I think I'll just wait for a deal without MIR. Either I don't remember to mail them, or companies never mail them back.

I've got the 8gb version of this one. Pretty fast and all, but rebates suck.

What a bunch of whiners. If you don't like rebates, STFU and don't mail in any. The only thing more pathetic than being bothered about checking up and worrying over massive $10 rebates is whining about them when you aren't even going to buy the product.


Rebates are great. You get to pick and choose which to redeem and unless you are anal you don't have to follow up on them all. Even if you never keep track you will still come out ahead if you don't get one back every now and then, providing you only buy things you wanted instead of buying something only because it seems cheap.

Newegg has retracted the free shipping on this item, as they are want to do. For me shipping + tax + mail in rebate make this "deal" a pass given what this item has been offered for in the last 3 weeks, and is likely to be offered for in the next month. Deals and value propositions are contextual. In context this is not such a deal unless one has a compelling and immediate need for this device; which is something that you cannot know except for yourself.

However, whining about whining is never a "bargain". It offers no value and no utility, zip, nada, zero. So file your rebate advice under "Bad Tempered and useless rants".
