They had one for $70 free shipping not long ago.. Turned out to be a nice system for the price. Divx/hdmi/surround/usb port and ipod dock..

An excellent price for what you get, assuming you trust the Philips Outlet with all of the horrific stories that have come from purchases made through them.

I have the 1080i model with the same speakers and feature set for my bedroom and it was a steal at $150 in January. The ONLY complaint I have is how long it takes the drawer to open.

I picked up the 1080p model from CircuitCity.com. Worked great for about 24 hours, then the sound started to cut out. From the reviews I read on other sites it sounds like this model has a fairly high failure rate.

If you get a working unit, it's a great deal. The speakers are cheap (speaker wire is connected internally to each speaker), but again, for the price it's not bad. You get what you pay for.

At $90 it's about half what I've seen in other stores which is great but keep in mind the pain of returning or exchanging the unit if bought on-line.

I'm in for one, tried for the last and locked out, this is exactly what I want before Blu Ray comes down in price.

Just ordered one, hope the speaker is big enough to output decent sound.

Spend the extra money and go with Pioneer or Bose. Quality and durability that last for years and years.

When the price is 5-15x as much, it's not "extra money". Also, Bose sucks. And for audio, I'd take Yamaha, Onkyo, Denon, etc over Pioneer.

Thanks for the tip, #11. You sound like a true audiophile!

For the price of Bose I wouldn't be getting plain old DVD format. When a system like this costs $600 for blue ray, minimum, I'll wait till it gets cheaper and the economy gets better. When you're having hiring freezes, layoffs, and raise pull backs paying that much is not in my blood.

If you run this with only the subwoofer connected, would it damage the amplifier?

sounds pretty good... but is the quality as good as it sounds? almost too good to be true.

Wonder why the product spec sheet link is disabled.

I bought a similar model from the outlet store last year. It came shipped in a brown box and was clearly refurbished. However, it has worked really well and I feel it was worth the money.
