Why anyone would want to waste enough deskspace for a 26" without getting a better resolution is beyond me. Maybe it is designed for vision-impaired people.

#1, this is on-sale at newegg.com, not rottenegg.com. Even though I don't like the brand, you cannot deny the fact that the reviews are okay.
#2, Not everyone likes to keep it small.

I personally think 24" is the perfect size. I've had 19-22" and 26-28" (let alone even tried 37"). And I agree, 1920x1200 is the bomb. If they offered it in 22" (I've seen two now that do), it would also do. But I think I still prefer 24".
In any case, virtually all of the sub-$500 (maybe more sub-$400) 26-28" LCDs that do 1920x1200 suck, hard. The darks are horrible, and there's all sorts of issues in viewing. I have been extremely surprised by the inexpensive Soyo 24" units, in comparison.

I would imagine that a smaller monitor (e 24") with the same resolution will have better PQ...
