    Great! I'm in. Been waiting for this new version for months. Can't confirm yet but I hope it supports DTS

    The good:

    * Supports multiple file formats
    * Simple interface
    * Can stream media wirelessly
    * Can read direct from USB
    * Variety of video connections

    The bad:

    * No HDMI
    * Slow boot cycle
    * Fiddly wireless setup
    * Can't copy directly from USB drives
    * Ordinary remote

    Ummmm #2 you do your homework it does have HDMI

    I have an MG-35 and have had it for 4 years now works great. I use my Harmony 880 remote to control it no problems. It's a great player for what I use it for.

    agreed with #5, still too expensive for Wireless HD Player w/no hard drive.

    I have heard that these are not as good as the wired models, but check for yourself.

    I've had the MG-35 for a few years and an MG-350HD for 2, really enjoy both of them. The software is a bit buggy, but the video is pretty good.

    So is this like an Apple TV?

    For $300, you can get a low end Dell which will do all this and a lot more... I personally given up on these gadgets. They always have a good idea, but implementation always leave a lot to be desired. At least with computer you can customize it to suit your needs...

    For $180 get the Popcorn Hour which supports true HD in all of the widespread formats (MPEG 4 thru VC1 and H.264, codecs AVI and MKV, OGG, etc. etc...)

    This MG-800HD doesn't look like it supports MKV containers. Pass.
