    The 80gb one is like $170 at Circuit City with tax. I wonder if it is worth another $30 for the extra 40gb? hmmmm...

    80gb = $2.13/GB
    120gb = $1.67/GB

    too thick, rather consider Creative or SanDisk.

    #2, probably only worth the extra $30 if you plan on storing a LOT of video on this (I dunno how anyone would want to watch a 2 hour movie on 3" screen, though). I have the 80gig Zune and love it. I loaded days worth of music on it and a half dozen seasons of the Simpsons on it, plus a slew of podcasts, and it's still only half-full.

    Personally I'd spend the extra $30 on a nice pair of headphones or a carrying case.

    Very happy with mine (Christmas gift last year). While I definitely still give Apple a leg-up in both categories, software and accessory selection are improving for the Zunes. M$ even included a few (simple) free games in their last update...made the wife happy during our Thanksgiving travels. Smile I won't get into the Ipod/Zune debate, but I have very few complaints about my Zune.

    apple looks better, but the classic player is outdated, who needs 120GB only for songs?
    s screen is too small to watch movie

    i had horrible experience with the zune sync software and that has made me avoid zune(s) all together

    Love my zune and the newest zune software. The only place this player is really lacking is available acessories. The newest version of the zune pass is very tempting too.

    #10, and no one has horrible experiences with Apple's monstrous iTunes app?

    I have a 30gb model which I like quite a lot. Only major issue I have with them is that the Zune software does not install on XP64. It will install on Vista 64bit, but not XP.

    120GB is a lot of video on one of these things.

    Quite surprised that MS did a decent job on this player. My old Cowon battery finally died so I hesitantly replaced it with Zune 80gb. I didn't want a player with software because my cowon and archos were just like external hdd's (dragndrop). Zune software is surprisingly easy to use and not assholistic like itunes. There was one tricky thing I had to do with my registering my personal zune as a guest so I could share my stuff with other people, but other than that it's be great. The touch pad works quite well, I prefer up down left right over the apple scroll wheel; but ipod can instantly add songs to a quicklist with its center button which is better than zune.

    It beats out its competitor (ipod classic) by having a larger screen, built in radio tuner (tells you song name), wireless syncing (with cpu & other zune), and nice stock earbuds. Big plus for me was no itunes. I recommend this product over its competitor ipod.

    #10, the software has been upgraded twice since initial release. User experience is vastly improved.

    #15, Which Cowon did you have? I have the A2, and bought it the minute it hit these shores. Still going strong after several years of use. Great to watch videos on it while traveling by air.

    I also have an iPod Touch and think it's great as a PDA/PMP.

    I wish they had a nice OS neutral mp3 player. I'm sick of having to suck off Jobs or Gates every time I wanna listen to music.
