I have read that there is no difference in a $3 hdmi and a monster cable according to some electronics majors that I talked to and read from their posts. It is a lie that they tell you.

As far as I can tell when we tested this out with my friend's Better Cables variety, there is not difference in picture quality that the naked eye can see. There is a very minute, and I mean really minute, difference in sound quality.
However, there are some reviewers out there that claim HDMI 1.3 version 2 is supposed to be far superior.
Overall, for the average consumer, it does not make a difference.

Ordered a total of 10 of these one time for misc. purposes.(used several to hook up a Samsung 50" 1080p LCD to an Onkio system with PS3 and Digital Cable, all with these HDMI cables). They work very nicely. I see no reason to support the Monster brand lies..
