Site is extremely unresponsive; currently lowest price available is $319. Add tax, and there's no deal to be had there.

Their site is broken, just like this deal and the machine for that matter.

Who actually has one and watches movies off of these?
I dont understand why people buy these when you can get an older mini notebook that can be customized to have way better specs and more features and costs less.

The Linux ones always sell out in 5 minutes and I'm not spending the extra for XP. If the demand is there for the Ubuntu models, they can just install it and subtract the cost of the XP license. Seems like a silly game they are playing.

Refirbshed/recertified stuff is good, depending on who does the work. Stuff from Apple I trust with no quams, and I'd imagine that Dell does their own referibshing too.
Half the time these outlet products are machines sent back because someone didn't know what they were getting in to, so no problems, but since they were used it has to be marked as something other then new!

The ssd and ram are very easy to mod. Likewise, one can do any number of things to these to upgrade them, look at jkk mobile on youtube. As far as being refurbs and why they have so many of them, I would bet that most people who order them: 1. don't realize how small they are, and 2. don't realize they do not come with a cd drive. I did see one for $299 but I hit the refresh before I could see what the specs were. Im using one now. The only complaint I have is the quote mark on the keyboard. But, this is an Asian-sourced unit, so they probably just needed to fill-in wherever they could in terms of key characters.

on the refurbished things. I have bought many items such as GPS, IPODS etc refurbished and never had an issue. It depends on who does the refurbishing and who you buy it from.
