"What is White Label? A white label product is a product produced by one company (Western Digital) that manufactured for other companies (OEM Hard Drive Reseller) rebrand to make it appear as if they made it or for large volume special application. "
Is this suppose to be a good thing?

Yeah, 1-year warranty is 2 less than their normal 3-year. Sounds like a risky buy.

Buy two and mirror them. Problem solved. Besides, you should anyway with volumes of that size....too much data to just let it all go up in smoke.

OEM & the warranty is only as good as GoHardDrive.com.
Not worth the data risk for the few $ saved.

#14 unless your data is pretty much worthless data like tv shows that you couldn't care less about if you loose it.

#10/#11 - wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a reliable, warranted drive of this size than to buy two questionable drives and mirror them in hopes that only 1 will go bad?

A drive with a 3 year or 5 year warranty can still fail and you can still lose your data, getting a replacement dosen't magically bring it back.

Not a deal - Ben had a WD 1 TB yesterday for the same price, with 3 year warranty.
