not a bad price -- original MSRP is $230. But, i don't see anything about a free case and SD card.

Why invest in this form factor when you are better off saving a little and buying a DSLR?

Does this have a removable lens?

#2 -- C'mon, you don't *really* think that a person buying a bridge camera for $151 is going to spend the $500 minimum on an entry-level dSLR -- a spread of 330%.

    #3 -- No. This is a bridge camera. Better than a point-n-shoot, but not a dSLR. Here's a review w/sample pictures:

#4 not better than a point and shoot. Technically, it is a point and shoot, just with a big zoom. Still has a small sensor, and in fact, the sensor is smaller than on many compacts in order to keep relatively compact optics. That means it can be noisier than its fellow compact siblings. Still a good camera mind you, lots of fun. I had the S700 before I moved up to a DSLR and I liked it alot.

I can vouch for the old finepix S7000, still have it and it takes beautiful shots.
Lately I tried a new olympus compact and absolutely hate it. Had a bad experience with a Samsung last year, but this years 7.2MP cams are pretty good.
