That's what happens when you buy inferior chinese products, you traitor.

#2 The design teams at Lenovo are still based in the US, so it's no different from any other computer company. Designed here, manufactured in China.

Even if it's traitorous to buy one, this looks like a solid lil laptop for a good price to me.

use www.lenovo.com/cpp and enter code familyandfriends. Final price before tax = $331.55 with free shipping. Just got one and it is pretty sweet. Despite what #2 says, I have owned several Lenovo products with no problems. #1, what's the problem?

I'm typing on mine right now. I think it's great, actually use it way more than my 15" dell c2d. Added 2gb of ram no prob, 320gb hd, and bluetooth off ebay. Check out s10lenovo.com

Rocks photoshop no prob on my vacation. I also use beyond media with a firefly remote hooked up to my TV via vga output... works great with all my shows.

Only beef is having to remap the right shift key to the up arrow. Check out the MSI wind for $300 if thats a prob.

#6 What OS are you running?

I suspect that if #6 has 2.5 GB of RAM, then the OS is Windows. That's overkill for Linux.

Hey ben, stop fucking slacking and put the specs.

HOW MUCH RAM? That makes or breaks a $350~ netbook.

this is only a 3 cell, how long would it hold a charge? 2 hours?

The battery life doesn't compare to that of the Asus 904ha, 1000ha, 1002ha, or the Samsun NC10.

Still a TINY 1024x600 resolution. Pass. Wait for the HP 2133 mini-note upgrade

i'm curious has anyone tried eeectl on this?

I'm running XP, battery lasts just over 2 hours. Adding a 2gb stick to the empty slot negates the 512mb built in. Can't change the video memory to more than 64mb in the bios unfortunately, but it still plays videos fine at 1080p on my TV.

+ a 6 cell battery + 80 GB more HD space + 512mb more RAM = the Asus 1000ha for only $40 more on amazon. got mine a few days ago and I love the thing. 1024 x 600 is a little awkward, though, as others have said.

only thing missing in the 1000ha is bluetooth, but that's easily plugged or hacked in.

I just wish that someone would make a netbook with a trackpoint instead of that touchpad thing. And Splashtop for instant on. Lenovo makes a version of the S10 that does it, but they only sell it to school systems.
