What's the point of the rubberized housing? Are you going to be using it when you hike outdoors? However the price is nice.

I have the Patriot X-Porter which also has the rubberized housing. I've dropped it, stepped on it, gotten it wet, had the dog chew on it, and ran over it with my car and it STILL works. Ok, maybe not the car...
