Lexar is an outstanding brand. I use mine for DSLR work and nothing else. #18 isn't quite clear on the concept of compatible formats nor on quality... the retail price for professional-level CF cards is about $10/G, less considering there's always something on sale. 133x is fine for most shooters, even at 12M sensor sizes. #19 - part of the "professional" tag implies quality and the lifetime warranty. Plus, they work in all pro and advanced amateur cameras, unlike many other company's cards. |
Obviously you don't understand that the "compatible" format is COMPACT FLASH. Either the CF card you buy is compatible, or it's defective. The vast majority of cards that are compatible, abaconn, work, are priced lower for the exact same quality.
What is this bullshit about quality? You think the plastic is extra special, or the metal plate, or the flash chips, maybe the controller? NO. That's all delusion. It's a standard CF card with low-end (by today's standards) parts in it, which is why it's only 133X.
Proof is everyone not confused, buying the better spec'd card and using it fine.
Any camera that can't use 90%+ of the CF cards out there is defective, or the user has no grasp of formatting the card in the device instead of plugging it in then scratching their head.
Enough with the silly myths. There is a reason why CF is a standard, not just a general idea of what shape it should be.

Obviously, you are inexperienced. There are CF cards that are not compatible with some DSLRs. Do your homework.

Again, you are misinformed. Quality has to do with reproducibility and homogeneity in the product. Variations in stamping and lithography are minimized, and you pay a premium for additional inspection steps. These additional steps are typically recorded in batches or lots at a higher rate than other lines or from other manufacturers. Go read up on quality assurance.
