Who in their right mind would pay $170 for a refurbished mp3 player? Even w/ 1000 terabytes of memory...

Many of these iPods were returned due to dead pixels. Just an FYI.

I agree with #1. With all the other competition out there. Who would pay that much for a refurb, previous gen player? Apple does not have that much a quality lead over the competition anymore. And the features on this are behind other brands.

#5 - You can play regular MP3 files on Ipods just fine.
There is certainly other competition out there, but not many of those offer 80GB of capacity. If you want a player with lots of storage the Ipod Classic is a good deal. If you are happy with 4 or 8 gigs then chances are you aren't looking at the Classic in the first place.

#1 and #6 wear their ignorance proudly. Apple refurbs are supported good as brand-new, but cost much less. There's actually little reason, IMO, to buy an iPod anywhere else. I know I won't. Previous gen phooey. They merged the 80GB and 160GB models into the single 120GB Classic. No difference otherwise, aside from the 120's being a bit thinner. I'm a PC guy with an Apple-loving wife, and I know too well the cult of Mac. I'm not an Apple fanboy. I'm just sayin'.
That aside, despite the frequent listing of these 80's here, they've been this price since September. Still a deal, but not exactly notable.
