The price of this one is dropping like a rock from the sky. A refurbished one said it all. However, it sells by SonyStyle website, which is a plus.

I hear the Sony GPS is horrible. I would just stick with the companies like Garmin who know what they are doing.

They also have NV-U83T for $135, but.. yeah, Sony GPS are crappy. I'll say, spend your $$ elsewhere.

For GPS from point A to B, Garmin rules. Multi-Function /Hackable, Mio and Navigon are good choice.

Sony should stick to what they do best... That or develop a better satellite network.

"It's in the box on it's way back to Sony. I'm pretty disappointed with this product.

Why?

* Poor routing engine

* Poor selection of routes

* Poor UI response time

* Poor routing response time (miss a turn and it recalculates for 40 seconds or more)

* Inability to quickly select a manual detour

* Gesture control is pretty useless

* Poor battery life (2hr rated, but in actuality it was about 1.5 hrs)

* Proprietary car cord (XA-DC3)"

>>Sony should stick to what they do best.

That would be rootkits and substandard proprietary messes?

I ordered U44, seems that it is a much more responsive unit.

tried this in a store. They are slow for inputting or to change options. Skip this one.

Like #3 said, go with a trusted GPS brand such as Garmin.
