The silver version of these were $38 on the Altec site the other day, but the professional reviews aren't too impressive.

Yeah. My little brother has this, and the bass is boomy, but not tight. The treble, also, distorts at high volumes.

Altec Lansing was saling this set for $30 on their website a week ago...hopefully for those who are interested they still have the sale, good luck
