Holy cow, it's finally sub 300. If it was the 120gb, I'd jump on it.

right price, but still waiting for it to drop some more. I would also like a bit more disk space.

Also, the 6-cell battery version has great battery life. Wait a bit longer.

    It's always been sub-300 at buy.com

Yeah this is a sweet little netbook. Had mine for a few weeks now (120GB model) and it works great. Probably with this 8GB SSD would draw much less power but for me the 8GB is just to small.

I'm waiting for the 12" Samsung N20. 8.9" is too small.

what can you do with just 8gb of hdd space? simply garbage for adding that.

Oh yeah, 12" screen... I'd like a longer life battery, too. And not having optical media is really a pain, so they should throw in a DVD burner. And who can type on those little keys? Give me a full size keyboard. Hey, wait a minute! It's a laptop! Yai!

Yeah only way the 8bg could work is if you had a external hard drive to use along with it but buying it would probably be the same as getting the 120gb one.

I love me Eee 1000H. I would buy an acer if it had a bigger screen.

netbooks are temporary business that will crumble once smart phones become more ubiquitous and powerful

I think smart phones are already ubiquitous and powerful enough to meet many demands

With CES show coming in January, expect a bunch more netbooks.

Smartphones will still have the limitation of smallness. And, who can say a third option will not evolve combining the strengths of either of those.
