i haven't tried the more expensive skull candy items but it seems like their low end stuff are crap. designed to look cool but nothing else. the sound is mediocre. it's a case of you pay for what you get

#1, you lazy douchebag, it took me a whole 2 seconds to get to Amazon and look at the overall rating. If you're interested in more details, there are 129 reviews to choose from.

I was very surprised by how much I liked these. I rate these as better than my Creative EP-630s and on par with my Sennheiser CX-400s and Razer earbuds. B%W, I know many people say the Sennheiser CX-300s are the same as the Creative EP-630s but unless they got bilked by some sleazy on-line vendor remarking yum-cha earbuds, I don't see how. There's a clear difference if you look (or listen), at least with mine. My Senns came from NewEgg and the Creatives from Dell.

Anyway, the only negative thing I have to say about he Skullz is the fact that they do not mark L or R. I had to use a test file to determine left and right and then mark the buds myself. Other than that, they are good buds and a steal for $10. If you're getting crappy sound, you either got a bad batch or you didn't get a good fit. Try the different-sized earpieces until you get a good seal. Virtually any earbud will suck if you don't get a tight seal.

#1 I got a pair of these and they are probably better than most $20 buds out there. I use these things for commuting (public transportation) and they isolate most of the outside noise. Just like #4's complaint, yeah they don't label left and right. And you need to try a few of the ear pieces to get a good fit. They give you a small, medium and large to get a good fit. Once you are dialed in, they do a good job. I use them both on my ipod, sansa e250 and my stero system. These are better to my ears than the some sony clip-on, jvc gum drops, and some philips behind the neck headphones. All were in the $20-$30 range. So for $10 bucks, they rock. BTW, I have these for almost a year and they still hold up. The rubber/silicone they used on the wire gets dirty really fast. I would say get these for the gym, commute, etc. For serious listening, go with some real headphones.

there's always these on sale for $10; imo skull candy is only good if you buy the higher end items not the cheapy stuff.
