I had to look up BD-Live bc I hadn't heard of it... "BD-Live is software found in Blu-ray Disc players which offer a variety of Web-enabled features, from downloadable trailers to chat and instant-messaging functions."

Zzzz...

This is not a special price for this player at all. NewEgg sells it for $220 with free shipping and I regularly see it for closer to $200.

I own this player and it requires a firmware upgrade and a USB memory stick to active BD-Live features. It's a decent player, though.

Has problems reading regular DVD's.

Still at least $150 too expensive.

upgrades can also be done via CD-R, not just USB. Much easier once it is in your cabinet since the USB is on the rear of the machine.

I got bd live Sammy 2500 for Xmmas. Plug it into ur router and play Netflix stream on demand. Gotta have a flix acct, but vid is dvd quality. Some flicks r hd, haven't tried it yet.

I will wait for a little white...Price will drop down more

Got this during the black friday deals. Got it for $150 shipped from abt electronics. Great bluray player, load time is quick and quality is great.
