Is this locked to AT&T? is this quad band?

So... If I have a data plan on my cell I can plug this in and away I go. AT&T is none the wiser?

no #2.... you'll need another sim and likely another phone line and another data plan.

or you could pop out the sim from your phone and pop it into here and it would probably work. But, you may not be able to receive calls while you do that... at least not without using your PC to make and receive the voice calls.

Same question. I have a blackberry bold with tethering plan. Can I pop in the simcard to this aircard and use it?

why not just tether your device..

i connect my current phone via usb or bluetooth to my pc and use it as a modem to connect to the internet.. plus i still receive calls

#5 - because there have been reports that the provider often detects that and shuts it off (unless you pay extra)

This card comes in handy of you bought subscribe to the AT&T data plan and broke your original card, use on an older computer that supports PCMCIA and you originally got a USB/PCI Express card. It's not the greatest format, but less likely to break.

As for using your cel sim. Becareful the charges can be expensive. They do require you get a tethering package, which is the same cost as having a data card. Not a deal, so why bother?

Get the data card package and you also have another line to upgrade your phone. YAY! A new phone upgrade every year. (Of course you have to time your signup with your other phone renewal date.)

This will not work with an iPhone Data plan. I have tried puting my iPhone sim in one of these and it will not connect.

This is a great deal. I paid $85 shipped for an used one from eBay earlier this year. I have the data plan for my BlackBerry. Just insert the sim card and you can start surfing.

I tried the sim card from my cingular pearl and it did not work. You need the data card plan.
