Nice mobo, not sure "who" is doing the rebates for ASUS, though.

What kind of losers use the terms "mobo" and "rig"? Other than Ben and aT of course...

A surprising number of people are unhappy with this board - doa or early death.

Very happy with mine. Nice board, nice features, been rock solid for me with E8500 w/retail HSF, EAH4850 video card, and 2x2GB Kingston. Great price for P45 chip. Might also check combo deals for good deal with an E8400 or E8500 CPU.

well, #3...83% of the reviews are a 4 or 5 rating on newegg. where are you getting a "surprising number of people" from? also keep in mind people that don't have problems are far less likely to say anything.

i also have this board (for about a month now)..baconnning an E8500, 8GB ram, 4850, vista64...no issues at all so far.

I'm quite happy with this motherboard. It actually saves me money on my electric bill with the power saving feature.

I have this board with an E8400. Been working great for the last 4 months. Excellent OC options in Bios. $100 is almost a steal!

ASUS once held the title for Quality.... That's no longer the case. MSI boards last longer and are less buggy for nearly half the price @ identical chipsets (Features such as Piped cooling, E-Sata, HDMI etc will vary by model). I learned my lesson for the last time with the Asus "Striker", which wasn't cheap @ the time of release. 3 RMA's, Months of downtime and another dead board shorty after the warranty finally ran out. Replaced with an MSI P7N SLI Platinum and it's ran like a champ for months. So long ASUS.
