Nice price. Does anyone know if this will accept HC cards (as in SDHC)?

Accepts almost anything, problem is the menu system and usability. It's actually easier to buy a laptop and run a slideshow from that. See if you can wait for one of the Kodak frames to go onsale again, those start auto-magically and are perfect for plug-and-go slideshows. I really cant figure out who they are targeting with the whole "crazy little joystick, no autostart" interface. If I want that level of complexity, I'll install Linux on a crappy laptop and throw it up on a shelf to show pictures.

That's why it's cheap.
Can we turn it on and it'll work or do we also need to push this and that? How is the resolution?
Is it ok for grandma?
Thanks.

It looks great, both screen and aesthetically, looks really neat on the shelf. The issue is, you turn it on, and it sits at the menu until you scroll back and forth to start a slideshow. And on the "OK for Grandma?" thing: I bought a 10" Kodak Frame and a 10" Philips frame, and decided to give the "better" to my in-laws for grand-kid pictures (I shoot all digital now, better than printing out 100 pictures). I WANTED to give the Philips to the in-laws, very slick looking box and frame, very Apple store, makes an impressive gift. Problem is, the Kodak was a breeze, and started slideshowing when my camera's SDHC card was inserted. The Philips? The pictures have to be in certain directories, organized in slideshows, you have to delete the "creepy baby" default pictures, which are the only pictures the frame will auto-start. The UI is a mess. I kept the Philips as you NEED a computer and a fairly high level of expertise to support it, and gave the Kodak (which also plays MP3s and MPEGs) which acts like what you thing a photo frame would act (insert card, slideshow) to my in-laws, who are confounded by the cable box and remote.

Beware! it's actual screen size is 8". I got one myself a couple weeks back. It's a nice photo frame though even with the misleading size advertised by Phillips.

#8 I just popped the card in and changed the source to cf card. Very simple and now it automatically goes to the card on startup.
