I purchased the 2gb version for $50 so this seems like a good deal. If you want to rip movies onto this player, I would suggest downloading "super converter" made by erightsoft and use the PSP format. Works like a charm every time. I can rip every format from real video to AVI.

"Integrated active noise canceling system" ehh? i'm lost now.. is it the headphones that it comes with or the mp3 player built in? the 2gb doesn't have the "Integrated active noise canceling system" i think >.> i own it.. but this mp3 player sure have good battery life and i paid $25 at Target when it was on clearance for the 2gb model.

i buoght this over the christmas break and i'm using it at work rigth now. the noise canceling wasn't that impressive, my shure e2c's or whatever ($50-$70 model) do just as good of a job if not better. i think it has to do with the fitting of the rubber. it's still a great little player for 60 bucks. don't mess with WMP, just use drag and drop. battery life is good and the display is crystal clear. i was considering an ipod nano over this, but i think it was a decent move.

i had a 8GB version of this stolen from me. it was surprisingly a *very* good mp3 player.

    to answer your question #3,
each earphone has a little mic on the outside of it. there is a switch on the player to enable the noise cancelling feature. from my experience, it works very well for constant noise sources such as planes, but only so-so for cancelling out conversations...

that said, the battery life is very good with the noise cancelling on and when its off, this thing has excellent battery life.

    NOTE:
because there are mic's in each earphone, the headphone plug is specialized for this case. when i used other headphones, i only received sound from one headphone. i think this is because the plug on the included headphones has extra contacts for the mics.

i'm actually tempted to pick up another one of these....

#4 -- yes, the fit of the "rubber" has to be right Wink
