These things work pretty well for it's price. Bright and portable! One thing to note is that these things are cheaply made, so depending on luck, your on/off button might break, the front plastic lenses might fall off...etc.

Heck for $6 this isnt bad at all.

I just saw HomeDepot has a lots of these LED stuff for sale very cheaply. Like 4 LED lights for $10.

This thing is Amazingly bright for the size and the price.

these flashlights are great, but that price is not. anything over 2 fiddy is too much. especially for a 9led. I got a 14led for under 5.

LED is the way everything is going, Headlights as well.

The .99 cent store has a bunch of these. 6 for $6.

Do these last longer than convential flashlights?

these are dim for it's price, go for those 1-2watt led flashlight, those are the way to go with brightness for around the same price.

How much light does it give off? If the add doesn't say, then I assume the worst and refuse to buy. One really can't determine if it is a good deal or not without that info.

what is with the 30+ LED light flashlights on sale ben?

they just cram all those cheap led's into a light, mostly because they happen to be cheap. the 9, 12, 14, 30, 42, or 10 million lights don't cast a huge amount of light compared to a 3 watt led.

Well the 10 milling led light might, but I'd hate to see how many AAA batteries were needed for that bad boy!

These LEDs are typically under 3 lumens each, it'll take roughly 50 or more to equal a 3W LED flashlight but as importantly it would take a huge reflector to focus so many LEDs into the tighter beam you can achieve with a single 3W LED since it's a single point of origin.

#7, it's 3 x AAA because that is the cheapest. By using AAA instead of AA, less metal goes into the flashlight body. By using 3 cells, they direct drive the LEDs instead of needing a regulator or current limiter (resistor) that a 4 x AAA or AA would need, although it is known that direct driving LEDs tends to wear them out faster and can cause complete failure of the weakest ones (actually not weaker, but rather those with the lowest forward voltage since they all vary in that spec a little bit).

There are so many equal or better lights under $15, I don't see why anyone would want this unless they won some kind of AAA batteries for life contest.
