This isn't much of a deal. Just a couple weeks ago you could get three 8 GB SDHC cards for $5 after rebate.

Cool. I'm going to go back to a couple weeks ago and buy them then.

#2, please remember to not do anything that affects the time-line too much. also, while you're there i have some stocks and lottery tickets for you to buy on my behalf....

Silly you, #3 -- if #2 buys these cards, the timeline is already broken - just look in the mirror, see these donkey ears?

Those were Black Friday prices at Ritz Camera and every location sold out and refused to backorder more.

That being said, I agree with #5. Rebate is too big of a risk.

I did this and the the visa card came very quickly. The problem is you need to buy somthing in one complete value of the card using it all up, or keep track of how much is left. When finally using the last $2.53 you have the clerk pull that amount from the card and pay the differance.
Me I just go to Home Dump or Lousy-lows and by suff for a house project and let it all ride.
Have to say these Extreme III are nice cards but then there the only cless 6's I've purchaced.

got the 8gb 30MB/sec SDHC during xmas. theyre no faster for rw than my Patriot 4gb class 6. what youre paying for is the name and build quality (made in china tho).

wait another couple of months for the rebate to get smaller and the actual price to drop.

I took advantage of this offer a few weeks ago and got 9 cards.

CaseCutter - I use my visa rebate cards on Amazon to buy gift certificates. I tend to use the entire card at once, then tell the spousal that there is money to spend on Amazon. works well, no fooling with "how much is left".

Rebate w/ Sandisk has been great from my previous experience. I'm just waiting for an 880IS Canon Powershot deal to get 3x 4GB SDs for an upcoming trip.

    Thanks for the heads up.

Shut your holes about rebates. I've gotten 95% of mine on the first try, and the other 5% take a quick, easy follow-up email. Follow instructions and keep copies and you have no problems. The amount of the rebate is irrelevant.

Yeah, #16, brilliant. So instead of worrying about how much is left on the VISA, you worry about how much is left on the gift certificates. Big difference.
