Cheaper than the thermaltake BlacX esata/usb which is 39.99 at amazon or newegg.
weird that the usb only version is only $1 less at newegg. I dont think that is nearly as good as esata
Is this just as good as the blacX?

Anyone try these yet? Seems to be a good way to clone drives.

I have the blackX version, and it's great. It doesn't support the 2.5 drives, though, and that's a nice feature if you need it. Never heard of Startech, so you're taking your chances.

startech is a very good brand. the startech unit has both esata as well as usb 0 the blackX version has two separate units (1 for usb, 1 for esata). I'm in for one!

#4, actually the one with esata has both esata and usb 0 I just got mine (esata version). Only thing I don't like is the length of the cables they provide with the blacx.

Yes it does. I have a blacX right in front of me and it accepts a 3.5 or 2.5 drive.

#3, I have the BlacX dock and it definitely does support 2.5 drives, just like #7 said. The connection is the same for 2.5 and 3.5 SATA drives and there is a cutout on the door that will let it fit (without the door having to fold down).

Pissers raised the price. Startech dock shows $37.99 for me now.
Might as well get the Thermaltake for a couple dollars more.

I was reading the reviews on the thermaltake and someone had different operating systems on 3 drives. they were booting their computer from these drives. I didn't know you could do that! almost like having 3 computers for a low price(roomates could have their own harddrives)
