Thank God! Sigorney Weaver's narration is vastly superior to that clueless, rotten toothed, tea-sipping Limey, Sir Richard Attenborough! FACT!

This Blu Ray is 1080i and re-encoded with Mpeg 4 and not the better 1080p and VC-1. Get the BBC version.

If you have a PS3 or any scaling blu-ray player, it will scale it to 1080p and you won't even notice the difference visually. It all comes down to whether or not you like Sigourney Weaver narrating or some british guy. I personally like the "alien" woman, and would rather save a nice chunk of change by getting the localized version.

Attenborough's narration of this is much better. The Alien woman is borrrrring.

    #18, that would be fraudulent.

I have the Attenborough DVD version, far superior narration. With enough tweaking of my LCD and upconverting DVD player, it looks quite good. On a 32" 720p display, I doubt I'd be able to tell the difference from my couch.

Also, if you want to play it on a PC with and nVidia card, use Purevideo and bump up the edge enhancement and noise suppression to around 50-60%. It looks pretty amazing for a DVD.
