I have the 32 GB version of the iPod Touch 2G, and it is worth every penny. Email, web, games, music, video, and 1000's of third party apps to choose from. IMO, it is indeed the ultimate personal media device and so much more.

#3 Yes, (with very little work) #6 is wrong. You are however not going to get this kind of capacity in an iPhone.
