#50, that's a pretty good deal. Do you know if they have any left?

Just to throw in my opinion, I stopped shopping there when they screwed me out of a $50 rebate on a 2GB USB memory drive. Claimed I didn't pay an 'elegible' price even though the rebate and the price were both listed on the web page when I bought the memory drive.

It's like they say - opinions are like assholes. Everyone's got one.

It's like they say: Arguing on the internet is like competing in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still a retard.

DO NOT expect any deals from this. You are a fool to think a liquidation company is going to sell TVs, computers, etc. for half off or more at a retail store.

from circuit citys site:
Will Circuit City stores continue to accept Circuit City gift cards?
* Yes, customers holding Circuit City gift cards may redeem them at full value at our stores during the liquidation sales. Once the stores are closed and the company is out of business, the gift cards will have no value.

Are Circuit City's extended warranties affected by the liquidation?
No. Circuit City Advantage Protection PlansĀ® (extended warranties) have been backed by third-party independent companies for more than 15 years and as a result, are not impacted by Circuit City's closing.
Currently, all Circuit City Advantage Protection Plans are fully backed by the Assurant Solutions companies. Assurant Solutions operates as Federal Warranty Service Corporation, Sureway, Inc., and United Service Protection, Inc. Assurant Solutions is part of Assurant, Inc. (NYSE: AIZ), and its extended service contacts are backed by an Assurant insurance subsidiary rated A "Excellent" by M Best Co.

They're busy tonight, jacking up the prices on everything to create the illusion that you're getting a deal. Mervyn's did the same thing when they liquidated. Unfortunately, there's too many people out there that fall for it, and all the good stuff will be gone before they actually start giving decent discounts.

If this sale is like the others, a liquidation company will be in tonight to reprice the place higher, then offer discounts from that level, often higher than today's. All shelf pricing will disappear so unless you have a specific item you were checking regularly, you'll have no reference. My advice: Either fugeddaboudit or bring lube. Remember that there's always more "stuff."

#10 and #20 are right. No real bargains. If you do buy, be sure you check your receipt to be sure the discount has been given. I did buy five items at a KC store closing, and two did not register the discount initially.

#67, yeah a real long time ago, like 2-3 years. Had I received it, the thing would have been almost free. BTW, I did let it go, along with me shopping at CC. Add a couple of million customers who also received crappy service when shopping at CC, and you have a company going out of business.
