Thanks a lot for your information.
I rarely buy stuff from CC, besides bags and CDs/DVDs, since their prices are usually much higher than online stores, but CC is a nice place to shop around. I did hope both CC and BB find a good way to survive through this econ mess, because it hurts all of us if their staff/employees lose their jobs.

CC smells like shit - literally.
Walk into any newer CC and notice the sweaty smell right when you walk through the first set of doors. Do they do that on purpose?

Just received an email from Squaretrade:
Circuit City announced today that they are unable to function under bankruptcy protection and are going into liquidation. This means that if you have bought a warranty FROM Circuit City directly, you will no longer be able to get service at the store - you will have to call the insurer that underwrites your Circuit City Advantage plan.
Fortunately, you can still protect your Circuit City purchases with a warranty from SquareTrade. Coverage is available for any item that you've purchased or received as a gift from Circuit City in the past 90 days.
If you purchased a Circuit City warranty and would rather get a SquareTrade warranty, you can cancel your Circuit City contract for a pro-rated refund by calling 1-800-555-4615. See your City Advantage contract or the Circuit City website for details.

Just got back from my local CC. Most items are ten percent off. These are the things everyone wants: TVs, DVD recorders, desktops and laptops, major PC components, cameras, etc. A small portion of items are 30% off: cables, connectors, adapters, TV stands, and other accessories. (Their cables are absurdly overpriced to begin with). I also saw a few bins marked 20% off; mostly DVDs, CDs, games, etc.

Currently stores that started closing sales on 1/17 are only at 10% discount, not worth it right now. Go in and see if there is anything you may want then go by each week to check and see if it is down to a price you would buy it. Just keep in mind, no returns and my store states NO CHECKS.
If you have gift cards use them before you lose them.
The website was down on 1/15.
