I agree with lostemple. I purchased a magazine subscription a few years ago and I have yet to be able to get off his mailing list. I had to just set up a rule and send it to the trash.

I'll agree with the spam issue. About 5+ years ago I created a dedicated email alias for this company's offer. Once I started to receive spam (the next day), I deleted the alias. A few years later, I needed to renew my subscription and revived the alias, sure enough, the spam started flowing. Amazing.

Yeah, how long does it take to set up a spam email address at yahoo or google mail??
Anyone who uses their actual home e-mail address for this sort of thing is asking for trouble!

dunno, some like Economist and Hemmings' Sports and Exotic Cars are a lot more than advert recepticles. On the other hand most of the house mags are pretty bad, and This Old House is going that way, but Old House Journal's not too bad on ads.

almost all magazines are filled with 90% ads anyway. They should pay us to take them.
