Actually it was about 2 weeks ago, and the prices have dropped since then, making these deals better than the ones you are referring to.

so just how beat up are those "recertified" netbooks at $209?
and those also are the bare bone models: 4 GB SSD, no webcam, 512 MB RAM, etc.
i'd be fine with scratches on the case, but not on the lcd or keyboard. does anybody know what dell's standards are for "recertified"?

I got one of these for someone back during the holidays and I must admit that even though I paid $260, it was well worth it. I personally have the Asus EEE 10" version and I would prefer this over it because of the mouse pad. It lets you scroll up and down and sideways. It also has a better feel. IMO. Great deal, just upgrade the ram and who cares about a .3 pixel webcam.

last refurb i bought from dell looked brand new.. They still give you a 1 year warranty..

Dell Refurbs look and perform as new unless they are listed as dented/scratch, and come with full warranty.
